In Ann Arbor, washes are busiest on sunny weekends and the first dry day after rain or a snowstorm, when lines back onto the street; weekday mornings are the quietest. Across Michigan, expect a basic exterior wash to cost about what a fast-food meal does, with wax, tire shine and undercarriage rinse sold as tiers above it. Self-service bays are the cheapest way to clean a truck bed, a muddy off-roader or a vehicle that will not fit a tunnel, and many run around the clock. Check the listing for the wash type, hours, free vacuums, unlimited plans and whether the site accepts cards or app payments, then call ahead in freezing weather, when tunnels close.

The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. Typical hours are 7 am–8 pm. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. You can reach Jax Kar Wash at (734) 662-2062; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. More information is available on its website, jaxkarwash.com.

On Google it holds a rating of 4.5 out of 5 from 293 reviews, which is a strong result for a car wash in Ann Arbor and suggests consistent service.

Ann Arbor is in Michigan, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Ann Arbor follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Should be ZERO stars. $24.00 complete wash, plus another $5.00 for treatment, Plus another $7.00 for tip. The service was about as good as taking a hose and wetting the vehicle off. A TOTAL WASTE of money. I will never return to this car wash again and would/will advise others not to chance paying for worthless service. On top of that, their equipment ripped out my antenna. Yes it sates the antenna should be removed, but who is going to read the entire network of signage scattered all over the property. And as professionals in the car wash business, it should be encumbant upon those employed at Jax Car Wash to remove the antenna prior to entry of the car wash itself, and the antenna notice should be prominent prior to paying for the service to ensure the antenna is removed, NOT in the middle of the wash process. My vehicle is a 2016 with only 28893 miles. I get it detailed inside and out twice a year. So here I get a half-azzed exterior car rinse and a ripped out antenna. I was advise there is nothing Jax will do to make it right. I write for publications and assure this will be one.

Love them! Car is always clean top to bottom. From Day #1 they’ve see my rather non-descript car and greet me with a smile knowing who I am, what my plan is, that yes I DO want the complimentary ArmorAll wipe packet, then they’ll share a word of info. about my plan (I can put it on hold for vacations, etc.) and I’m on my way. It is extremely convenient, I drive by the Jackson Rd. location almost every time I’m out, so I can just pop in then carry on with my day. I have a disability and use my car for support when entering/exiting. Having it be clean prevents additional laundry and scratches I don’t want to pay for. I should really get the names of the individuals who help me as the employees stay consistent, but every single one has been a pleasure to work with. I’m sure I sound like I’m gushing but with my life and limited abilities having a clean car means more than you can imagine and Jax is amazing.

I love this car wash. Always friendly and fast and gets your car super clean. Better than the Zippy. I bought the monthly pass which is a great deal. Highly recommend.

I had some confusion about the Unlimited car wash club when I first signed up. When I questioned it the person that helped me was as helpful as he could be and very non-judge mental about my confusion. I think Jax is a great car wash and I love the recent upgrades. Thank you l

Love this car wash! 2 attendants at the start are helpful to get both sides of my truck pre-washed. I like that they don’t stack the vehicles so close together going through the wash. And an attendant at the end to hand dry is fantastic. All for the same price as the automatic car wash down the road that leaves spots on my truck still dirty & with water marks.
